Man accused of shooting dog

BROWNINGTON A Brownington man has been charged with animal cruelty for allegedly shooting a neighbor's dog.

Vermont State Police say 33-year-old Dennis Gonyaw shot the animal after it harassed his cows. They say he followed the 11-month-old husky to several different homes before shooting it.

His wife, Liza Gonyaw, 32, is facing a charge of reckless endangerment. She allegedly pointed a rifle at neighbors during the incident.
