One of the unique functions of the Task Force is to provide much-needed assistance with animal cruelty complaints to municipalities, law enforcement agencies, and animal shelters when requested.
The Task Force's Response Network is made up of experts in the field, including those in animal care, law enforcement, and criminal prosecution who are poised to help with animal cruelty cases when local resources are insufficient. The level and type of assistance needed will vary depending on each case, but it could be anything from providing advice to hands-on help when animals are seized during the course of an investigation.
The Task Force is not an investigative organization itself, and its members and volunteers act in cooperation with and full support of the lead investigating agency or municipal body. Click here to download an application to the Response Network.
